Fresh off the success of their album ‘In Arms’ and a subsequent tour spanning Europe and North America, Kaleida (Christina Wood and Cicely Goulder) unveils ‘In Arms (Deluxe Version),’ available from 24 January via Embassy One. Featuring the unreleased track ‘Chalong’ and four additional bonus tracks, the deluxe album offers a captivating glimpse into the duo’s artistry. Live studio versions of ‘Don’t Turn Me Out’ and ‘Hollow’, alongside piano renditions of ‘Hansaplast’ and ‘Seagull Nun,’ showcase the immediacy of their live performances and the profound emotional depth of their songwriting, underlining their ability to reimagine their own sound.

“We’re thrilled to share this one with the world… We created it spontaneously on the final day of one of our writing trips in the studio. It feels right to release it and let it find its place,” said Kaleida about ‘Chalong.’

The deluxe edition’s opener, the hypnotic indie dance track ‘Chalong,’ exemplifies the duo’s exploration of new sonic territory. Balancing between pulsating club rhythms and meditative electronica, the track features Christina Wood’s soothing, lullaby-like vocals, paired with Cicely Goulder’s textured production. A driving sixteenth-note bassline and ethereal synth chords set the tone, while arpeggiated guitar licks and intricate percussion add layers of mystery and allure.
