Sound of Berlin is a fusion of a multichannel platform and a record label. The core aim of the project is to amplify the diverse voices of Berlin’s iconic music scene and give them a platform with global reach, especially in times like these.

Sound of Berlin has launched in 2018 the critically-acclaimed documentary, which features interviews with some of Berlin’s most prominent artists:  Juan Atkins, Dr. Motte, Dimitri Hegemann, Marc Houle, Monolink, Pan-Pot, Mathias Kaden, Nela, Alexander Krüger, Ekaterina, FreedomB and was premiered worldwide on Apple Music’s cover page.

In 2020, the project has been relaunched with several new features, such as a record label, audio-visual content and radio shows on FluxFM.

The goal is to raise the smaller voices in the scene, such as independent one-man labels, self-releasing artists, club owners, independent curators, stage- and light designers, just to name a few. Sound of Berlin wants to shine a light on all aspects of the scene and give everyone a voice. The label aim is to sign already established, as well as up-and-coming electronic music producers that represent Berlin’s unique and iconic music scene.
